Planning & environment
Planning and environment considerations impact increasingly upon a range of commercial and government activities, from property development and infrastructure projects to corporate governance, executive officer liability and due diligence.
We have delivered approvals for some of the largest projects in Australia with involvement from initial planning and feasibility assessments through to working closely with clients and their consultants to identify and resolve regulatory, legal and environmental issues.
Our clients range from State and Local governments, developers, property owners, funds and corporate groups, resources and renewables companies, builders and financiers. Our advice covers town planning legal issues, due diligence, development approvals and appeals, infrastructure agreements, compliance, resumption and compensation, tourism and environmental issues.
In advising project proponents other considerations include land access and tenure under legislation, environmental defence, and executive officer liability.
Expanding planning and environmental awareness and the changing laws demand constant professional review across a range of activities to support commercial success. If matters proceed to court hearings we have an excellent track record with proven capacity to secure outcomes in that forum.
We help you navigate through the challenges.
