Telecommunications, media & technology
We understand the importance of staying ahead of developments. We deliver solutions bringing creativity and intelligence to resolve your commercial issues – so you can focus on the future.
Across technology, startups, life sciences, telecommunications and media, our team brings in-depth industry experience to support a diverse range of private sector and government clients.
We regularly advise clients on new technologies like M2M and the Internet of Things, blockchain and smart contracts and emerging issues like data breach notification and cyber security, and understand that tomorrow will bring new developments.
For start ups and emerging industries we are long-term supporters helping to grow and nurture companies from day one.
Significantly in the startup community, our knowledge is drawn from experience as both advisers and investors. We regularly run free workshops with a number of incubators across Australia and have developed tailored offerings to help entrepreneurs de-mystify the regulatory process supporting them to get their businesses up and running.
Our life sciences team is one of the largest nationally with our clients ranging from ASX-listed life sciences companies, to emerging companies, universities and research institutes. We advise on all aspects of this industry and bring additional expertise with several of our specialists having science qualifications.
The media industry continues to increase in complexity with technology and innovation bringing both opportunity and risk. Our experience includes advising on media, entertainment and gaming transactions, licensing, trade marks and patents, and defamation.
Telecommunications remains firmly at the forefront of social and business change as the explosion of connected devices increases our reliance on communication networks. We understand the technologies and the industry and keep abreast of key trends and emerging issues facing telecommunications carriers and service providers – issues such as convergence, metadata retention, next-gen mobile networks, infrastructure access and of course, the effect of the NBN.
We are future-focused, commercial and creative.
