We advised on the sale of two hectares of inner Newcastle land held by Hunter Development Corporation to the University of Newcastle for a proposed university campus and student accommodation.
This project is part of the broader revitalisation of the Newcastle CBD area where the NSW Government is investing more than $500 million into a brand new light rail system, the NeW Space campus and new Innovation Hub.
Following the acquisition of this site, the University of Newcastle will be developing a high level master plan, which will consider options including next generation teaching and learning facilities, campus support services, student accommodation and publicly accessible zones for community engagement.
