Resources and Renewables
Experts across Australia’s energy mix, from explorers and producers, through to renewable energy project owners and developers
We provide a unique offering, made possible with our extensive knowledge of both the resources and renewables industries. Since our group’s establishment over 20 years ago, we have evolved to offer a whole-of-project practice, with transactional, commercial, and regulatory teams collaborating on projects to always provide integrated, end-to-end service for our resources and energy clients.
We do not just work for the industry, we are part of it, and have been for decades. We have an unmatched knowledge of the industry, key stakeholders, communities and projects across Australia.
Always taking the time to understand your business
We make it our business to not only be across sector developments, but to always take the time to keep our clients ahead of the curve so that they can evolve alongside these developments.
The resources and renewables industries are intrinsically linked. We use our expertise in these sectors to support our clients through Australia’s energy transition with the development of significant critical minerals and metals, and renewable energy projects while also continuing to support our long standing traditional resources clients as they navigate the increasingly complex regulatory and market environment.
We possess the capability that enables us to grow with our clients and to help secure strategic investments and opportunities that protect and maximise value for the long term.

Comprehensive legal support for Australia’s resources and renewables sector
Across Australia’s energy mix we have been embedded in the industry for decades – actively on the ground delivering projects from inception to rehabilitation for the mining sector and delivering solar, wind, hydro, battery storage and bioenergy projects for the renewables sector.
We draw on our expertise in greenfield projects, approvals and compliance, land access, project finance and investment, construction, operation and expansion to achieve project success for our clients in the sector. We offer seamless support from project assessment and development, through to operation and expansion, specifically:
- securing tenure over development sites and all related approvals;
- the sale and purchase of shovel ready developments;
- obtaining and implementing financing and refinancing programs;
- documenting construction and operation;
- agency engagement (including State and Federal Government, AMEO, transmission and distribution network owners and service providers);
- implementing hedging and corporate Power Purchase Agreement strategies to support projects; and
- commercial and construction disputes such as warranty claims under a project sale and purchase agreement, or a contractor principal dispute under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction arrangement.
