Charlie is a Special Counsel in our Corporate Advisory practice and has more than 11 years of local and cross-border transactional experience advising on all aspects of M&A transactions, with a specific focus on private M&A.    

Charlie acts for a diverse portfolio of clients including government entities, both domestic and international companies, as well as those involved in real estate, technology, media and telecommunications, food and agribusiness, mining and renewables, e-commerce, project sponsors, banks, and other financial institutions.

He has extensive experience in a broad range of legal matters, including providing general transactional advice for private M&A transactions (often cross-border), as well as corporate finance and banking transactions, global corporate restructurings, post-acquisition integrations, legal project management, and general corporate and commercial advice.

Charlie plays a lead role in transactions and is involved at every stage of the life cycle, from due diligence and obtaining regulatory approvals to implementation, closing and completion.

Advising the shareholders of a major Australian egg producer on the sale of the corporate group through a competitive sale process.

ESR Group

Advising on its $3.8 billion acquisition of Blackstone’s Milestone logistics real estate portfolio.

AMP Capital

Advising on its $2.2 billion acquisition (together with UniSuper and Cbus Property) of increased stakes in the Macquarie and Pacific Fair shopping centres.

Advising an agri-focussed asset manager on the disposal and restructuring of water and agricultural assets managed by the asset manager.
