Stephen’s clients come from a broad range of sectors including food and agribusiness, real estate, technology, infrastructure and industrial, government, and banking and financial services.
He advises Australian and international clients, including founders, financial investors, multinational corporations and family offices on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, commercial transactions, and corporate governance and company secretarial matters.
He is known for seeing the big-picture in transactions and navigating clients through sale processes, including competitive bid processes, FIRB and insured (W&I) transactions.
Stephen is also experienced in advising on distressed M&A transactions, using a multidisciplinary approach, working with insolvency teams and practitioners to manage and advise on the sale of distressed assets.
Stephen is also an integral member of the McR Private team, supporting our family office and private clients.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Stephen worked in a technology start-up, which has given him a unique appreciation for the technology and start-up sectors and client needs.
