Genevieve is a Senior Associate in our Real Estate Group with experience across a wide range of real estate transactions both in New Zealand, where she began her career, and Australia.

She acts for a wide variety of clients, including public and private developers and ASX-listed companies.

Genevieve’s expertise includes developments (residential, mixed-use, community title scheme and commercial), conveyancing, acquisitions and disposals (including commercial, industrial and rural), property due diligence, social and affordable housing including specialist disability accommodation, management rights and leasing.

Experience

Frasers Property

Advising on numerous residential off plan developments such as Hamilton Reach, Cova, Minnippi Quarter and New Beith. Across these developments, Genevieve has been involved in everything from acquiring the site, advising on and settling titling structures, the preparation of template off the plan contract and disclosure documents, structuring and preparing body corporate management rights agreements and developer sales.

AW Jewel

Advising the project team on the development of the iconic $1 billion plus ‘Jewel’ development on the Gold Coast comprising of luxury apartments, the Langham hotel and retail spaces.

Destination Gold Coast Consortium

Acting for Destination Gold Coast Consortium, including The Star Entertainment Group, in its development of The Star Residences, a mixed-use tower, comprising shared facilities with the wider Star Resort, a hotel and 422 apartments.

Cedar Pacific

Assisting with their $140 million bid and negotiations for a pilot build-to-rent project with the State of Queensland, unlocking the State-owned 50 Quay Street, Brisbane City for affordable housing.

National Affordable Housing Consortium

Advising National Affordable Housing Consortium on numerous matters including both acquisitions and developments to create hundreds of additional social and affordable houses in Queensland.

Consolidated Pastoral Company

Acting for Consolidated Pastoral Company on a transaction for a rural property which involved overseas investors, Ministerial Consent, International Board Approvals, Foreign Investment Review Board Approvals and Chinese Government approval.
