With over 10 years experience as a specialist tax and duty lawyer, Melinda combines her deep understanding of tax issues and her close client relationships to achieve optimal results.
She has a specific focus on providing corporate taxation and transaction structuring advice and works actively with clients to prepare for and manage a broad range of tax controversy matters – from audit stage through to legal proceedings.
Melinda currently acts for a range of clients across a number of industries. Her clients currently include multinational corporations with Australian resource interests, a number of ASX-listed companies and widely held investment funds. She also acts for a number of growing Australian companies that are expanding offshore.
Melinda provides advice on transaction structuring and re-structuring with a view to helping clients achieve tax effective outcomes. Additionally she assists clients with inbound and outbound investment structures, mergers and acquisitions and has implemented a number of innovative employee incentive arrangements for both listed and private groups.
She regularly acts for a range of clients, from individuals to large corporate clients in taxation and duty disputes, and has experience in such matters before the Federal Court, AAT and Queensland Supreme Court.
